Everett Noel Catalog

$20.00

Exhibition catalog printed to coincide with Everett Noel at Blunk Space, July 1 through July 16, 2023.

Noel grew up in the Sierra Foothills of California, where he spent most of his time in the woods around his family home and made his first knife at age thirteen. He considers each of his meticulously handcrafted knives a functional piece of art, inspired by and contained within the forms and materials of nature. Each knife in the exhibition is in dialogue with a specific work by JB Blunk.

The catalog features photographs of new work by Everett Noel and images from his archive. A conversation between Noel and JB Blunk Estate and Blunk Space Director Mariah Nielson reveals why he started making knives, how Blunk informed the new work for his exhibition, and his favorite part of the knife-making process.

Designed by Kajsa Ståhl of Åbäke and printed on non-archival newsprint by Newspaper Club in London, UK.
