Earrings inspired by the original pair that JB Blunk made in the 1970s as a Valentine's Day gift for his wife, Christine Nielson. As part of a collaboration with Blunk Space, New York-based ceramic artist Simone Bodmer-Turner reinterpreted the original forms of the beads using her chosen medium of clay. The result is a hand-carved white ceramic bead with her signature slightly crackled, matte cream glaze that combines her distinct, biomorphic sculptural style with Blunk's organic, hand-hewn approach. The earrings are fitted with fine, recycled 18K goldwork by Tess Young that are an exact replication of Blunk's details.
