An ongoing series of slip cast ceramics based on JB Blunk’s original pieces.

As part of Commune Shows: Steven Johanknecht & Niles Wertz at Blunk Space, September 30 through October 15, 202, Blunk Space launched the third edition of Blunk Cups in a cobalt blue and black glaze. This striking cobalt blue was inspired by Blunk's VW flatbed pickup truck, which he painted with cobalt house paint in the 1960s. The vessels are smooth to the touch and retain the silhouettes and details of Blunk’s originals, bringing the spirit of Blunk's’s work into everyday life, as it was meant to be experienced.

The estate collaborates with artists Tyler Cross and Kyle Lypka to produce the cups in the Bay Area.

Package design by Commune, which includes a cotton bandana printed with Blunk’s iconic signature.
