An ongoing series of slip cast ceramics based on JB Blunk’s original pieces.

As part of Commune Shows: Steven Johanknecht & Niles Wertz at Blunk Space, September 30 through October 15, 2023, Blunk Space launched the third edition of Blunk Cups in a cobalt blue and black glaze. This multifaceted black fades from a graphite-like matte to a burnished warm brown, calling to mind both slate and earth. The vessels are smooth to the touch and retain the silhouettes and details of Blunk's originals, bringing the spirit of his work into everyday life, as it was meant to be experienced.

The estate collaborates with artists Tyler Cross and Kyle Lypka to produce the cups in the Bay Area.
